![]() ![]() The Willett Early Childhood Center is the Preschool that comes under Norwood Public Schools system. This is a standard four-year public high school for students from grade 9-12. This school has a very good athletic program. The Norwood Mustangs were members of the Bay State Conference, which is a league in the Interscholastic Athletic Association, until 2018. They are now part of the Tri-Valley League that includes 12 schools from towns in Middlesex and Norfolk counties. Norwood High School has an athletic rivalry with Dedham and Walpole High Schools. In 2105, the Mustangs baseball team won the Division 1 state championship. UTI is a for-profit technical school focused on teaching trades in the automotive industry, including collision repair, CNC machining, welding, diesel, motorcycle and marine technicians. On February 18, 2019, the company announced that it would be closing its Norwood campus in 2020. Current students would be able to complete their programs, but they would no longer be accepting new enrollments after March, 2019. This is a one of its kind college, which helps students learn about applied science in funeral service. They teach students who enroll in the college about the funeral industry. They provide education along with practical training for funeral services, as well as business and health sectors of the industry. The existence of this college is important because it also teaches students how to interact with people who have lost someone. Historical Places in Norwood MA Norwood Memorial Municipal Building They educate students on the sensitivity and physical process that is involved in preparing the deceased for their final rest. The first historical place in Norwood MA is Norwood Memorial Municipal Building, which serves as the town hall. Built between 19 in the late gothic revival style, this building is constructed from Weymouth seamed-face granite. Due to its architectural style, people often assume it is a church or was at one time.
