Job warned that if you “Lay your hands on him remember the battle-you will not do it again” (Job 41:8) since “No one is so fierce that he dares to stir him up” and “ Who then is he who can stand before me” (Job 41:10)? The teeth that remained are still sharp enough to cut wood. It was a Pliosaur Kronosaurus which is estimated to be over 50 feet long. In Job chapter 41 we should ask, can it be said about a 15 foot plesiosaurus or constellation or even a whale that it has razor sharp teeth like iron that can swallow its prey whole (v 14) or where the weapons of man cannot penetrate its body (v 26-29) and can destroy its prey by simply passing over it (v 30) and has absolutely no fear whatsoever of anything (v 31-34)? A surprising find in 2008 revealed by the Natural History Museum in Oslo, Norway was one of the largest dinosaur sea predators ever found. In fact, it may be more than just the extinct plesiosaurus because of the many descriptions that Job gives. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.In Job chapter 41 and verse one I believe we see why this leviathan that Job mentions in chapter one cannot simply be a constellation because in Job 41:1 it says “Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord?” If the leviathan were only a constellation, the references given in all of Job 41 would seem out of context for some star constellation. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. Of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath Īlso He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower? Can you put a reed through his nose,įor the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips,Īnd for the cursing and lying which they speak. Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.” Then the LORD said to Satan, 'Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?' In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, Youwho say in your heart, "Who will bring me down to the ground?"Īnd though you set your nest among the stars,įrom there I will bring you down," says the LORD. The pride of your heart has deceived you, They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses. Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,īut when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. I will also sit on the mount of the congregation I will exalt my throne above the stars of God You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. "You were the anointed cherub who covers He is king over all the children of pride.' Playlist: Go to the Leviathan (topic) playlist
